The Pelvic Floor Muscles (PFM) play an integral role in ‘core' strength and spinal stabilization, yet many of us (movement professionals included) overlook their importance. Without this essential component coordinating and functioning well, we do not have a solid foundation to build upon for strength training, mobility work, yoga postures, or breathing well for that matter!
And, sadly we’ve normalized pelvic DYSfunction so much so that many people mistakenly believe their pain or discomfort is an expected part of aging and/or birthing. And, this is simply not the case.
